Elka Freller...
Elka is creating a kiddush cup for the Project, using silver, glass and Brazilian stones.
I was born in São Paulo, Brazil and I have been part of Congregação Israelita Paulista (CIP) since my younger years. I grew up within this environment where I got my Jewish education, met my friends and my husband. Nowadays our kids are growing up there, too.
My graduation in Architecture and my passion for Art made my path to Jewelry. My Jewish life joined with my artistic life and from then on I have been designing jewelry for the Jewish stages of life.
I also create representative pieces according to my Jewish and feminine view, using Brazilian stones, silver and gold in favor of Jewish themes, often transforming subjective concepts into concrete and functional art.
To be part of this project is an additional way of being in this world, giving my contribution to the existence of plurality, respect and turning art into an instrument of harmony and beauty through my actions.
